What are NRCA Qualified Trainers?

NRCA Qualified Trainers are professional trainers and coaches for your team. When they complete NRCA's Qualified Trainer Course and become recognized NRCA Qualified Trainers, they gain access to NRCA's training resources. They also will possess the focus, dedication and knowledge to:

  • Train new employees, getting them onboarded faster and more efficiently
  • Provide guidance to midlevel employees looking to further their careers
  • Assist seasoned employees who are pursuing NRCA ProCertification

NRCA Qualified Trainers are a must-have for any roofing company. They provide leadership and consistent direction to your employees; the result is increased pride of workmanship, quality, worker retention and, subsequently, your bottom line.

I already do training in my company; why participate in NRCA's Qualified Trainer Conference?

By participating in an NRCA Qualified Trainer Conference, you will gain practical, how-to training skills while becoming a recognized NRCA Qualified Trainer. New trainers will gain a strong foundation in critical training skills, and seasoned trainers will be introduced to best practices for delivering powerful workforce improvement presentations and effective hands-on training.

Participants will learn about how NRCA ProCertification works, including its goals, policies and procedures, and the Job Task Analysis skills required of installers for receiving a certification(s) through NRCA ProCertification. In addition, the conference includes assessments of participants' hands-on coaching abilities, presentation skills and training knowledge. NRCA Qualified Trainers will be uniquely suited to coach roofing company employees from the beginning of their careers all the way through certification.

Additional benefits of becoming an NRCA Qualified Trainer include:

Pre-conference requirement

Before participating in an NRCA Qualified Trainer Conference, participants are required to engage in a webinar addressing classroom presentation skills. Following webinar completion, each participant will be assigned a topic he or she will prepare and present during the Qualified Trainer Conference. Participant presentations are rated as a performance assessment; it is required to successfully complete the course to become an NRCA Qualified Trainer.

Cancellation Policy

NRCA understands circumstances may arise that require you to cancel your registration. If you cancel up to 10 business days before an event, your registration fee will be refunded. If your cancellation is received 10 business days or less before an event, you may send another person in your place or receive a credit voucher that can be applied toward any NRCA University program during the next 12 months. Registrants who do not cancel before the seminar or do not attend are liable for the entire registration fee. All cancellations must be in writing. NRCA reserves the right to cancel any programs. If such a cancellation is necessary, registrants will be notified and an attempt will be made to reschedule or make alternative arrangements. Registrants will receive a full tuition refund for the program. NRCA is not responsible for other costs incurred. The registration fee is due and payable before the start of a seminar.
